Dec. 16th Event at Woodland’s Tavern benefits Central Ohio charity

COLUMBUS, Ohio – CD 101 presents the Second Annual Music Loves Ohio Holiday Concert, featuring a performance by The Winnie Cooper Project, a 90s rap jam band (think: a less talented version of Phish playing No Diggity). During this special performance, a different guest musician will sit in with The Winnie Cooper Project on every song.

The special guests for the evening include O.A.R. saxophonist, Jerry DePizzo, Marti Dodson (Saving Jane, Union Rose Band), Jared Mahone, Tony Castricone, Andy Dodson, Wolf Starr, Aaron Pitcock, Molly Winters, D-Rob, Erin Moore and Jess Faller (Columbus Music Co-op), Chris Graham, Sam Corlett, Speak Williams, and Lee Bass.

“Central Ohio has so many talented musicians who are interested in giving back to the community by helping Music Loves Ohio in its mission of putting instruments in the hands of local youth who cannot afford them,” says Matthew Crumpton, Music Loves Ohio’s President and singer/bassist of The Winnie Cooper Project. “We are really looking forward to the format of having a guest on each song. It will be a great night of musical collaboration on songs that we all love.”

In addition to The Winnie Cooper Project, local comedians, including Travis Hoewischer and Laura Sanders, will start the festivities. There will also be a silent auction raffle with prizes from local businesses, sponsored by the Small Business Beanstalk.

Tickets for the event are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, November 18.

Music Loves Ohio is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for underserved children of all backgrounds in Central Ohio to learn, perform, and record music.
